Does anyone know of a way to enter a zero ($0.00) price in SCCP?It seems setting a zero price prevents the item from publishing ....

I think you can set the price then add a discount to offset the price to make it zero.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Minimum price to get it to upload is 0.01

I use 0.01pence on my listings clients tend to accept its a default and only used in conjunction with a chargeable item (ie) my free engraving is actually 0.01p

Eric adding the discount is possible but its tricky and appears as an addition when it appears in the shopping cart (a little confusing)

Thanks .... I've been using $.01, but it does cause a little confusion - just wondering if someone had a better way. I've heard that 'Call for Price' might be included as an option in a future version which will work perfectly for me. Guess there's no work-around yet.

I have been looking for information on this. My products have many variations, but I need to know if I can remove the price all together and just have it on the drop down list. Are there any themes that will allow this to publish?

Also, is there anyway to add more options to the navigation bar? Everything keeps going under the "home" tab.

Thank you in advance for any information that you can give to me.

hiya Krown,

Unfortunately the answer is pretty much no for both of your questions. The price cannot be removed from the products, if you do that then the product is usually removed from the cart (at least that's what the error message says to me even though it's uploaded the zero price, zero text, basically empty products on the cart I'm currently working on anyways lol). Try it and see if it does it for you too? The issue may be that it won't process the purchase if there's a zero price though so test it and see. I don't think it works to do that though.

The navigation bar is what it is unfortunately. We've asked a number of times, many have requested it (be sure to add your suggestion to the suggestions thread for the program too!) and we're hoping a future update will give us that ability, but right now the menu is as it is. All items drop down under either the Home or Shop Home button for all extra pages added within the cart.

You can do what I did and combat this to a small degree and add an extra little menu to the pages in the content area. I basically just created a table with the menu links (in a list form) on the left column and the Title of the page and the text for the page on the right column. Just a simple little table, no styling as I let the cart theme style it for me.

You can add this to any extra pages if you work it out well, it's easy enough to do and gives you just that little extra bit of visibility for the items in that dropdown list. Just a thought :)

I sort of resolved this by changing shop home name to INFORMATION, with page comments like go to homepages to see all item specifics

Then made my homepages in VSD, and i have lots of them
