I have a fully finished website that was done using Visual Site Designer but now want to add an ecommerce function to sell online from that website. Can I insert pages into that site using Shopping Cart Creator to that existing Visual Site Designer website, or do I have to redo the whole website with Shopping Cart Creator?
Thanks

Hi Robert, I am just a lowly registered user. So, I may be wrong as can be, guess if that is so then I will expedite getting someone who knows to chime in. My site is built with VSD, I purchased the shopping cart software's but have not used them. It is my understanding that you build your shopping cart with the shopping cart software and then link back and forth between the VSD site and shopping cart section of the site.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell Greg,

Robert what you do is setup your shop however you want it. You can include up to 5 pages for your shop so you can pretty much mimic the information on a Contact Page if want one to be on your shop and just put the same content on that as what is on your VSD page for contacts. You can do this for any pages or no pages, but I believe it starts with a default home page and a default categories type page. Once you have the pages setup that you want for the shop you go into the Shop Tools settings and look for the section that allows you to link the Home page to be the home page of your website. Then when you click home when in your shop it will send you to your VSD home page. Then on your menu of your VSD site you add a Shop Now or Shop here or Shop Home or whatever you want to call it to send people to the shop. This creates a pretty good link between the 2 different entities. I would highly suggest also making your shop look as close to your VSD site as possible so people have the same feel of being on the same site.

Hope that helps :)
