OK, here goes: I added two new pages to SCCP within SCCP - Privacy Policy and Sitemap. I expected the links to those pages to appear at the top of the page at the tail end of the existing horizontal menu, following Cart Content. The menu should read:

Home - T-Shirt Catalog - General Stuff - Cart Contents - Privacy Policy - Sitemap (The HOME page is an external HTML file)

However: The two pages I added now appear as a sub-menu under General Stuff. They look fine in the footer...but the problem is in the Top Menu. I've tried several suggested fixes but none of them work. How can I get those two new pages to appear as stand-alone links at the top of the page, rather than a submenu of General Stuff. I've been hammering this out for two days to no avail.

Does anybody have any suggestions as to why the links appear this way, and how do I fix it? Please - I need HELP!!!

I don't know the whole answer, but part of the answer is the theme selected. Seems if you select a theme with a 'top' menu, it adds the extra pages as a sub-menu. But if you have left-side navigation then the extra pages are added as menu items. Don't know why, don't know how to change them. But if you can't come up with an answer you might try another theme (if that's an option) or open a support topic and see if the Coffeecup gurus can give you an idea why it does that.
