shopping cart problems

I am not sure why this is happening. After I publish my cart (still in design phase) http://petportraitsbymichelle.com/trial
I go and test it. First I clear my browser cache. Then I will go add a product to the cart, then go back and add a second product to the cart. Some times when I had the second item, it replaces the first item so there is only one item in the cart, even though I have added two.

Can any of you fellow forum users go to the above site and see if it happens to you also? I would sure appreciate it.

Thanks,
Galen

The plot thickens and I don't have the answer! I see what you mean. Add an item to the cart and select 'continue shopping' and if you add another item it replaces the first item and only shows that second item in the cart.

But, if you select an item, then just go to the menu and select a second item both will show in the cart. Don't hit the 'continue shopping' button!

Might want to open a support topic and ask CC about this one. Unless someone else jumps in here... :/

Where did you get that continue shopping button?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

I put it in the SCCP "View Cart" page. Had done a search before in this forum about adding a "Continue Shopping" link in the View Cart .

Hadn't thought of it being an issue, but that seems to be at least related to the problem. I'll take it completely out and republish and see if the issue still exists. Thanks for picking that up.

Well, that seemed to be the problem. Thanks for the tip.

Is there a way to add a "Continue Shopping" link while viewing the cart??

Thanks,
Galen

Can it be used with a regular hosting service and not just on S-Drive??

Thanks, Eric.

I hate to keep bothering you Eric...you've been so generous with your advice. I added everything you suggested in the posts above and it works well.

So that created another small issue. I have created "Back" buttons in the detail view of each product. If I go to the detail view and add something to the cart and then press the "Continue Shopping" button it takes me back to the detail view. Then if I click the Back button it goes back to the category view of that product. When I add another product it replaces the first one. So by me just adding links to go back anywhere in the shop it seems to wipe the cart out.

Is it possible to modify the script you suggested so that it returns to the category view of a product, rather than to the detailed view??

Hope this makes sense. All the problems are coming from the Back buttons I've created, but I don't know of any other way to do it.

Thanks again,
Galen
