Is the 3.40 there for any product?

Right. All 3 of them (one has free shipping).

I was trying to put the $30+ gets free shipping in the shipping options.
Customers would have to choose from the drop-down menu – standard/3.40, international/6.80, 30 dollars and more/free
Then Illinois needs to add sales tax.

I can't figure out how to get the shopping cart to leave the shipping amount blank until an option is selected. I do have the 'require customers to choose an option' checked.

I only have 4 products, 3 shipping rates and one state tax.... can't begin to imagine how people with hundreds of products do this

You know that's the same thing that I'm seeing with no option to choose from. Have you tried any negative values for you options to minus off the shipping?

Did you get your options to show yet. I've tried every combination I can think of to get an option at checkout and it won't show the options. I even set up my options the same as the help file. Where's Viv when you need him?

I haven't tried negative values. Or burning eye of newt, or waving a magic wand......

Whatever you did, do it again so the state tax will show up!

For one option I have 'Free Shipping-Thirty Dollars and Over'. One could check that no matter what their actual total is, but I haven't come up with a better way to offer this. Any ideas?

I was clearing my cache several times in a row but it didn't seam to straighten out until I closed my browser. Probably a PHP thing. Let me take a look at a few options. I recall someone doing something for a discount in their shop but I can't remember if it was ever worked out.

Same here – I cleared the cache, refreshed... to make sure I wasn't seeing the old stuff. Then I closed everything down and got off the computer for a bit. The first time I went back to the shop was after your post above. So it was just a matter of re-opening and not an Xmas miracle?
