I am currently in the process of building and tweaking my store (both Creator and Designer Pro) but a quick thought about shipping came up.

Currently, I am using Google Checkout, and with the way it is set up, when the total dollar is under $75, it is $5.95, but when it is over $75, it is free shipping.

Will this be able to work now that I am using Creator Pro, and would I set things up through Google or through the store front software? Currently, I have nothing set up in the creator, so when it goes through the store, it says 0.00 shipping. With this in mind, I would assume that the creator has priority, so how would I set something like this up?

Also, am I to assume that all of my coupons will still work 100% the same way through Google Checkout?

Thanks in advance.

Hiya Mike,

I would think you could do this by using the new weight based shipping setup. It might take a bit of work, but actually it might be less work than the normal shipping setups would be since you already know that anything from 75 pounds and up is 0 cost you only have to have the charges for under that. Of course you'll want those charges for many areas so you don't lose money on it too, but I would think it's doable.

Thanks for the thoughts, but not sure how that would work for my situation.

First off, currently I have 140 products in the store and am adding more every day. It would take quite a while to get the weights on them.

Also, at this point, I don't do shipments based on weights, but on dollars. So, 75 dollars and up would be free shipping, anything below is 6 dollars. I would like to try and keep it the same way. Plus, some of the highest priced products are some of the lightest.

Have I missed something in the last few weeks (busy elsewhere)?

Thank you for responses.

And Scott, I told you in my last email that I had some questions up my sleeves that stump people.

To answer your question Mike, I do not think it will work that way. You can have one or the other, but not both. You could set your shipping to be a flat rate of $5.95 or free, but not both.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
