Re: Shopping Cart Pro Shipping Rates
All set up and uploaded to my hosting company but for some reason, the shipping rates do not show up no matter how many times I edit, save and re-upload.
In fact some of the changes I made earlier today in the product titles are still not showing up.
It is difficult for me to set a specific price "manually" that covers the wide range of weight for my products. And yet neither the manual not the preset are showing up in the shopping cart. I tested the entire process.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

Can you post a link to the site? Someone would be better able to help that way. Just post to a temp directory if you do not want it live yet.

I think they only show on the check out page.

I took the buying process all the way through to the shopping cart, editing the cart, changing the "destination" several times. Did it all just short of paying. The shipping stayed blank.
Just a quick update to the issues I face since I responded to Eric's questions:
No matter what I edit, when I go to publish, I noticed that several items have been deleted in the process.
As an example, I first added the PayPal button image. Later I added several credit card images. I also edited the product titles and the shop theme.
Everything is visible when I "preview" but when I publish, none of it uploads. In effect, my store has remained the same since I first published it to make sure it was being added to the correct folder on the hosting platform.
What is happening and how can I remedy this? The mapping process has already mapped it to my main domain but the store cannot be used.
Thanks, Diana

Dbl check you publishing settings to make sure you have that correct.

Hi Eric,
Yes, I verified that I had everything correct by uploading to the directory /shop/ . The original store uploads very quickly now and deletes assorted settings each time. Yet, I am only editing and adding to the same store I originally worked on and the time stamp on the uploads matches. The setting for this is www.jointheforce.com/shop.
I tested the FTP to BlueHost again with a different store name (the one I see when I eidt and add products) and all it did was install itself completely and correctly within the /shop/ directory. When I type the URL in the browser I get a database error message.
The setting for this is www.jointheforce.com/The_Store_At_Hobbies_House
As a test just now, I edited the server settings to read The Store At Hobbies House as the remote folder. The store files are still uploading and I can see that all the images (including the credit card images) are loading as well. Nothing was deleted during the initial ftp process. Result is the same. the above URL shows nothing.
Also checked both versions all the way to the Paypal payment process and the tax settings remain blank (set at 6% when I select Virgina) and the shipping tables never apply although I have International, Normal and Priority set by weight.
I would assume that anything I work on and save in the Shopping Cart Creator is the same as what I eventually upload via FTP.
Even called BlueHost to verify that I had enough space on the server. Plenty. Any other ideas?

I would open a support topic so the cc gurus can take a look at your setup.
