Hi

How are the SKU numbers are generated? I have an apparel shop, and much of the clothing has multiple color options. Does each color/size option for each item get it's own SKU number? I ask because it seems as if I have a lot more SKU numbers than I have products...and if I decide to upload a CSV file with the SKU's referencing the product I want them under, does that screw up all the uploads I've done?

the site address is www.fsportswear.com

Every product in your shop will have a unique sku number.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

That is as long as your product is a separate product. If you use the Optional Fields in a product in order to show the variations, then the SKU number will be the same for all options I believe.

You can change the SKU numbers to anything you like. The numbers are not generated (I don't think anyways) until a product is created so there should be no problem with uploading a CSV with them in AS LONG as it's in the proper format for the program.

If you haven't already, I would suggest creating a few products that have all the details you need in them that you would need for all products and then export the CSV file so you have the proper format it needs. From there it's just a matter of editing that file then to add/remove/edit as needed.

Hope that helps :)
