Prices to show only on products, not...

Hi There.
Using SCC as a catalog. Have multiple categories and on all respective sub-categories. For each sub-category there are products

e.g Apple Products (cat)
Macbooks (Sub-Cat 1)
Macbook 13" 128hdd (Prod 1)
Macbook 15" 256hdd (Prod 2)
Ipads (Sub-Cat 2) etc...)

Is there any way of ensuring the prices appear only on the products level? it appears a currency slot is hard coded into the Cat & Sub-Cat levels (i would like to use the currency symbol, so one gets $0.00 on those levels). I tried tweaking the font to white/colour of background, but even with that one still gets the decimal point and symbol showing.
I suppose rendering HTML would allow one to edit it afterwards and remove that data? then again it might not be so 'cause it appears to be php/database linked right? Still playing with it for my project and have not saved/uploaded my work, peeping via the check on browser facility for now.

Any suggestions?
Kind regards to all

Hiya Carlos,

Do you have your shop uploaded so we can take a look to see what you are trying to do? I'm not quite following what it is that you are saying is happening. When using a Catalog there is no purchasing ability so I'm not sure why prices listed would matter I guess. Let us know more of what it is you're actually meaning here if you could please as I'm at a loss as to what you're actually talking about.

Hi Jo Ann
Apologies, should have posted "fixed". It helps to read the help files. it has been sorted out.
The prices showing in the catalogue is only as an indication of costs to clients who peruse through the products...they then email/phone in to order. This is for now (has been for a few years).

With SCC the very good thing is that later when i go through the obstacle of which products qualify for online shopping and which card facilitator i can use (in South Africa it is still an issue, but SCC, i see covers two that operate here), then i can use the catalogue to separate and complete a cart for those applicable items as a separate division.

Site is still not up.....busy tweaking the overall look and CSS to make the Catalogue section look the same as the rest of the site. Getting there slowly but surely.
Thank you for offering to help.
God bless
