Paypal Problem with new Site Revision

I have a problem after updating our site with it using Paypal ...

Our old side worked fine with Paypal... would go there and just work.
I developed a new site in the oldsite URL/dev4, i.e.
http://www.somaluxury.net/dev4/index.htm and that site seemed to work fine.

Now, I have moved the entire site to just the root, i.e. http://www.somaluxury.net/index.htm
and everything works except when I try to check out, and choose Paypal, I get an "This Content
Cannot Be Displayed In A Frame" error for some reason.

I am sure that I must have changed something, somewhere, but am not sure what/where.

Can you please assist? The entire store was working fine in an iFrame before and it still does
except I think it's trying to display Paypal within the iFrame and I don't think it can ... but I cannot
figure out what I changed that would cause that to happen.... NOTHING in my .css files changed
to my knowledge.

Thank you.

Hey John,

The issue here is with frames. You cannot use them with IE and PayPal. You can find all sorts of discussions on this here at https://www.google.com/search?oq=frames … +paypal+ie

I see this was moved to open discussion so ...

How can one unload the frame so the shopping cart goes to Paypal for checkout?
The suggestion offered me to utilize my site design with the CC Shopping Cart was
to load the cart in an iframe, which I have, so I suspect there is a way to unload that
frame when one clicks on CHECKOUT ... yet that would have to be within the
Shopping Cart Creator software, or an alteration of one of the files it creates?

It appears the whole reason this stopped working is because I loaded the CC Shopping Cart in a frame so I could utilize the current website design (header and look and feel). Everything works now except checkout, which makes it essentially an unusable store. For the time being, I've just changed the GO SHOPPING button from /store.htm to /store/index.php so customers can at least buy products for now.

I will work on changing the store page to better accomodate at least a little of the look and feel, but if there is a way to do the checkout in a New Browser window, or even browser tab, once a person clicks on the PROCEED TO CHECKOUT button, that should work (other shopping carts have experienced this issue and did just that).

When a person RIGHT CLICKS the PROCEED TO CHECKOUT button to view the source, this is the button source:

<a href="http://www.paypal.com" target="_blank"><img src="ccdata/images/PPLogo.png" align="right" border="0"></a>

I would think that would open Paypal in another browser window, but it apparently does not, or, if it does, Paypal 'thinks' it's still loaded within a frame.

If someone knows a way around this so one could checkout, that would be most helpful.

Hopefully, CC will update that in a future version.
