Need help in implementing ProPay...

Hello,

I'm hoping someone can help me, especially with some detailed info since I am a novice when it comes to coding...I can do some, just not to familiar with creating scripts, so I really need a pre created script.

Basically, I am tasked with designing the first of a series of SCCP sites, that will all be linked back to my company's main web site, but all of these SCCP sites will be individual sites for various customers. My company uses a ProPay account, and I've noticed that there is no direct way to implement that into SCCP sites. I've emailed CoffeeCup, and was directed to these forums, stating that it is certainly possible, but it would involve a lot of editing of various scripts generated by SCCP.

How would I go about doing this, and what scripts would need changed and how. Here is the response I got from the CoffeeCup team if it helps:

"Unfortunately it is far more complex then just adding a code. It
would require substantial modifications to many of the different
functions of the scripts. While it is certainly possibly, I think you
will find it to be a very difficult task. The only thing I can point
you to is that all these files are located in the CCDATA folder."

Thanks for your time and I look forward to getting an answer.

And that is correct. I'm not a coder myself but I do know that there are a number of scripts you would have to modify. For each store. That said, everytime ANY change is made to the stare and re-published, those changes would be over written and you would have to modify them again. Really not worth it in my opinion. If you could use PayPal great, but if not, I really have nothing better to offer.

Someone else here may know more. Hang in there a bit and see...:P

Thanks Gunsmoke,

I'm pretty sure we're still going to use ProPay, but I think he may be open to another If needed.

Although, I won't be publishing this site through SCCP, I'm exporting it and uploading to the already created web site's root directory on it's server, so I would hope that it wouldn't change after changing it once.

What do you mean wouldn't change after changing it once? I'm not sure I follow what you're talking about there. Also wondering why you are not using the built in uploader in the program?

If you're talking about "not" uploading files you edited outside of the program, I would highly not suggest it. If you're trying not to overwrite your changes made outside of the program you may cause more harm than good as you may miss some changes that "should" be uploaded in that same file. Much better to bite the bullet and redo your changes after uploads. Just my thoughts on it of course.

Also be very sure you know what files are what on your server so you don't overwrite something for your main website that might have the same name if you're uploading to the root directory. That's the whole point of uploading your shop to a /shop directory so it doesn't mess up your current website if you plan to keep it running.
