Good Morning,
Heres what i am trying to accomplish and ill try to be as informative as i can. Im building a hardware parts wholesale store, and i have tons of product that i need to display.
Previewing page in SCCP: The Menu Says Home, Remotes (the start of products im adding) and then View cart. Now i would like to add another menu option that says Opener Parts. In SCCP i select the pages button on up top, and under the pages and menu option i add opener parts. And of course this is where im stumped, cause i dont know how to start adding product for this. Whenever i go back to products, it still has me under remotes. Any one know how to fix this?
Also, How come i cant add more than one subcatagory?
Thanks
Jim
Menus and Subcatagories
As far as the sub category goes make sure you click on the main category before you add the subcategory.
You changed the Category name on the right in pages view to Remotes. Now all your categories and subcategories will show up under this.

I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Hiya Jim,
Looks like you're going about this all wrong which is why you're getting stumped. When you add your products you don't create brand new pages for them yourself, you just create categories and subcategories using those 2 buttons at the top to add your category and product pages. These are created all automatically and will then append the menu automatically in the dropdown of the Categories Button on the menu. This is the only way to actually add products to your pages.
You can add links to specific products once you have them entered though by using standard HTML to do so on pages you then create for whatever purpose you need to display favorite items or sale items or whatever. This can also be accomplished by using the internally created Featured Products setup of the program itself.
Most things can be done using the program settings for displaying featured or special items on the Home page of the Shop.
The main thing here though is that you are creating separate pages yourself to put your products on and it doesn't quite work that way. Just go ahead and start adding Categories with the names you are mentioning above that you need and it will open a section for you called that category. Then click on that Category bar and hit the Add Product button and you should be all set to go
As for your question on Subcategories, right now the program only allows 1 subcategory deep, so although you can add many subcategories to each of your categories, you cannot add subcategories to a subcategory. We are hoping for that in a future update
Hope that helps.
