Inventory based on optional field...

Hi -

It looks like you can only set an inventory for a product but not for different combinations based on the optional fields. For instance, you can't add a blue t-shirt with optional field size and then put the inventory in for each size. Am I missing something? Does this mean I need a new product for each size if I want to have the inventory tracked for each size?

Thanks,
Craig

Yup. Every option needs it's own product if your wanting to track inventory for that specific item.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Eric,

Can you show me an example of a cart where clothing is being sold in different sizes. I can't wrap my head around adding a separate product for each size (for inventory tracking). If I am selling 10 t-shirts that come in S, M, L, and XL, then I will have 40 product pictures in the t-shirt category, 4 pics of the same t-shirt for each size?

Please clarify for me.

Thanks,
Al

Yup you have your head wrapped around it. Here's an option to help you clean up the image thing.

Eric,

Thanks I will give that a try. Since the image is the same for all the sizes, do I still need an image for each size?

No, You can just reference the same image in the code.:)

Eric,

Just to be clear, regarding "Paste this code into your page using the html tool", you are referring to the Pages View/Shop Home tab of SCCP. (and not SCDP) correct?

All the custom html is done in SCCP.:)

Was I correct about using the HTML button when in Pages view of the Shop Home tab?
