How to add Flash SWF to a SCCP home...

Can you publish your shop to a different sub-folder for testing?
I checked my site when I had your SWF file embedded and it looked fine in IE.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Change your ftp setting so it publishes to a different folder.
Example:
this now maybe
/public_html/shop/

change to this.
/public_html/testshop/

I'm not sure what path it is on. In the FTP program, the folder with the web site says www->... (see attachment). If I right click on the folder I have the option to copy URL to clipboard. The contents of the clipboard is: ftp://yowzers.comwww -> public_html

Your publishing to the root of your site so set up a test shop with
public_html/testshop/
The url would be
"http://yowzers.com/testshop"
Why aren't you publishing from the built in ftp in SCCP?

Actually, I always publish via SCCP. I was using the ftp program to try to find the path to my site. In retrospect, I now see it would have been easier to get that info from the server tab in SCCP. I will set up a test shop (per your instructions) when I get back from my day job.

I was publishing the test shop & it was taking forever. Then it occurred to me that we have almost 900 items, so I dumped most of the products to make it smaller. I published the test shop & the flash seems to work in IE this time (with the same code). Perhaps IE didn't like the preview file SCCP created? I plan to keep the test shop for possible future tests. Thanks a bunch for all of your help.
