Export problems, comes out all...
I have been having a little problem exporting things. Currently, I have about 1,100 products, from 30 or so categories, and 60+ subcategories (not sure if that matters at all).
Currently, I used the export/import function daily, as that is how I update pricing and Qty. When I export, there are 6 choices to use, All, Images, Information, Options, Pricing, and Quantity. When I do Options, Pricing, Quantity and Images, everything works perfectly. When I do All and Options, it takes FOREVER, which I expect due to the large amount of products, but when it finally does spit out a file, there is maybe 20 actual products on the sheet and TONS AND TONS of cells full of 000000. Normally it isn't a big deal, because I just edit the price and qty, but sometimes I want to edit multiple descriptions, and change featured irems and that would be the easiest way to do it.
I know there has to be something I am doing wrong, like have a keystroke in the wrong spot, but any help on this one would be GREATLY appreciated and save me a TON of time.

Although I don't have a clue why it's doing that, it does sound to me like you're doing an awful lot of extra work that is easily done right inside the program. I may be missing some major points here so forgive me if I am, but it does seem it would be a whole lot simpler and quicker to just edit the products inside the program instead of going through all the hassle to import/export and find the products you want to change etc.
Products are sooooo easily changed inside the program that I would think it would go a whole lot smoother than what you are doing. Since descriptions will differ, usually, per product it's not like you can mass update it so you still have to do one at a time. It's so easy to see what products are currently on the Featured list by looking for the visual stars on the products in each category, very quick update for that. And since you can see not only the text for the product names, you can see the visual to make it even easier to find the product you want to update.
Dunno, might just be me, but the program sounds like it would be a lot easier to work with inside than outside
P.S. Mass updates are different of course, that would be a whole lot easier using the import/export system.

With the products that I have, it is pretty easy for me to have 10 or more items with the same long description, just a different short description. So, I can cut and paste from excel sheets. All my products, and product descriptions are based in a database that spits out a nice csv files, then I can vlookup everything I need and put it into the cvs file that is imported/exported into the software. So, for example, it is pretty easy for me to create and import 500 new products. I just add the pictures manually in the Coffee Cup software. Generally, it would take me about 5 minutes to do so.
So, with excel, I can do a lot of things really quickly. In general, with the software, when I go into the details page, where I can cut and paste things very quickly, it is pretty slow to react because of the amount of products I have, hence the use Excel.

I see, and I see how that would be quick also then. Don't forget that you can also copy and paste an entire product within the program should you need multiples with just different styles or colors or images which is pretty easy to do too
Wish I could help with the error issue, but hopefully someone will chime in soon. If not I would suggest you open a ticket with support to be sure you get help on it.
