You can't edit the code the shop produces in the actual shop program. You can however add custom html to shop pages. There's also several ways to use the code produced by the shop to make addition pages for you website that look like your shop pages.

As Eric said, you can do it outside of the program, but PLEASE DO REALIZE that any changes you make outside of SCC (or SCC-PRO) will be lost when you reopen within SCC (or SCC-PRO)...

Thanks for answering that one for me. My one concern about a wysiwyg shopping cart software is how seo friendly it is as I have been told from( so called seo experts) that wysiwyg software is not usually very good for seo as you have little control over the code generated. I would like your thoughts on this one and if anyone has any shopping cart pro sites that rank well in the search engines it would be good to hear.

Have no fear SCCP (pro version) has excellent tools for editing the seo meta tags etc.

Every item you list automatically creates key words etc, so you can thunder through your listings and get the shop live :: BUT, AS WELL, EVEN ALSO you can go and edit those automated keywords and descriptions at your leisure to make them more seo friendly

If you take a gander at my delorean site in signature it only went live about a 2 months ago, now I am .co.uk aimed at uk market but any of the following searches in uk rank reasonably well already, and if you come across handmade-by-me thats another of my SCCP sites
