Display the SKU with the product?

Is it possible to have the SKU number displayed on the product page, without having to manually type it into the item description? The software is automatically assigning the SKU number and it is available in the product grid, but I don't see it appearing anywhere else. I assume it is needed for inventory control, but it would be nice to have it on the product page and also referenced on the cart.

The SKU number is an internal reference number and cannot be displayed (at least now) on the shop. You would need to add that to the product description page if you want to have it displayed.

Follow on question ..... Will the SKU be evident in the order that's placed? For example will PayPal somehow expose the SKU(s) that have been sold. I expect to have a lot of similar products and will need a way to distinguish the various (and hopefully many!) items sold.

Yes, the SKU# is passed through with the order details.

Hiya Jerry,

The SKU number will be included in the email you receive from PayPal (or whatever payment method you are using) so you know which item it was for sure that sold :)

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
