Continue Shopping??? - Page 1

On my cart, when you go to View Detail on an item, then "Add to Cart", with the option checked to "Continue Shopping after adding items to Cart" The page just sits there, you can see that the item was added to the cart, but ideally I want it to go back to the Shop Home so they can select more items.

I had to go put a huge note to "Continue Shopping Here" on my Cart page because my customer is unhappy about it not going to the Shop Home.

Anyone have a fix for this.

How do you know every customer wants to go back to the Shop home page?:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

While I understand your need to satisfy your customer... I feel (as an on-line shopper) that being kicked back to the shop home, would be very aggravating. I'd probably even ditch the site and look elsewhere for the items in need. Just as, if the cart automatically took me to the check-out page. I HAVE left sites over that one (several times in fact), feeling that they were not allowing/or desiring me to continue looking around and potentially adding more to my purchase. And if this is how I (as an experienced "E-Shopper") feel, I can only imagine the way inexperienced folks feel, that don't really understand how to navigate E-Storefronts...

This is not my choice but my customers desire. Is there anyway to do this with the cart?

Yes, you can do this. On the shop preferences just click on continue shopping. See image attached.
Hope this helps.

I already tried the Continue Shopping after adding items to cart - when I had that selected and you clicked that Add to Cart it just stays on the page, but you can see that it imcrements the Cart with the item.

This is what has my customer upset because it looks like nothing was happening so I had to make it go to the Cart for now with the big notice at the top to Continue Shopping.

For the sake of receiving any help with this I just turned back on Continue Shopping after adding items and perhaps you can go try again to see what I mean. The man is will not be swayed and I want to get this done so I can stop receiving the numerous call and emails he is flooding me with.

I don't know Tammy, I think he should just leave it as is. With it set as you have it, it works as I would expect it. And since there's a Cart Summary on the left hand side, which shows the additions immediately, I don't see how it is confusing.
I don't know of a "work around" for you on this. Maybe if you contact CC via a support ticket.

This is what happens when you use canned software to create websites for others - you're limited by the can. The customer has every right to have things his way on the site he is paying for. He is not whining. Remember that.
