Change PDF association?

I'm trying to learn how to use SCCP. When I click on Help (PDF) it refuses to open the file because it wants to use an older (adobe acrobat 5) program. I looked at what PDF's are supposed to be associated with, and it says reader, which would be correct, except it's not using reader :(

Is there a way to change these settings from within SCCP so I can open the file?

You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

That is another issue with using a virtual machine. Easy fix though.

Go to Start > Run and type in regedit and search for .pdf This should take you to a folder labeled .pdf Just delete that folder.

Now all you need to do is install a pdf reader inside of Windows. You also can't use version 5.0, you need to upgrade to 10.0 if you want to stick with Acrobat.

A few other choices:

You are going to find there are many settings that you need to tweak like this if you use a virtual machine.

How cool is it that you do not need to go to VMware or Parallels for support like this! :)

You know I was going to bring that up...

Regarding PDF - I just deleted version 5. Version X was already installed. As soon as version 5 was deleted version X was available. Not sure why version X didn't overwrite permissions. Maybe because one was a full program and one was a reader. Its working good now. THANKS! :)
