Hi,
I purchased SCCP V3.8 Build310 and I just can't find how to add/change properties of the "Search Box" - the PDF Help file tells me it should be there - I just can't see it.
Am I so blind? - any ideas please
thanks Jen

Have you upgraded your theme to a "pro theme" by going to the File Menu and selecting "Upgrade Theme to Shopping Cart Creator Pro"?

Found the "Search Box" once I clicked the "Upgrade Theme to Shopping Cart Creator Pro", but when I clicked Export a box came up telling me I had to revert to Downgrade as I only had SCBasic installed.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that SCPro had not yet been released, so how can I use the Search Box features if I have to "downgrade my theme? - it didn't transfer across.

That is correct, you cannot use a "Pro" theme with Shopping Cart Basic. You can only use a "Pro" theme with Shopping Cart Creator Pro. Since you own Shopping Cart Creator Basic, you should have gotten an e-mail today on how to access the Shopping Cart Creator Pro pre-release. If you lost it or deleted it, e-mail me at scott@coffeecup.com and I will resend you the link.

What a bummer,
I did all the upgrading and and worked on this thing for hours now. Now I find out there is a search box that did not make it over in the upgrade.
I have been all over the PDF help file by hand and searching for the word "search". Nothing about it that I can find.
I guess this means I start over.. Bummer...

Just go to the File Menu and select "Upgrade Theme to Shopping Cart Creator Pro". This will enable all of the Pro features.
Easy as 1-2-3!

I have already did that. and I have an SEO tab and a Product Grid so it did upgrade. I seem to have the whole works just no Search box.
I just searched the designer pro and found the information about the search box but it is not in the SCCP help file. I have to admit that I never read the designer help file just use the program because it was so easy to use.
I just removed every color and changed everything I could find in the designer pro to see if the search box was some where under a background or something . I find it really is not there.
I don't think it will take too long to fix it, I should be able to just change the theme and only have to put back my header and logos.

Once you upgrade your theme to a Pro version theme, it will enable all of the Pro features. Some of the features you then need to customize or enable them for it to appear in your shop. Example, for the search box you need to select the "Search Box Properties" from the drop down list on the right hand side and then click the "Advanced" tab and make sure the "Hide search box" is not checked.
Pretty much every feature of your shop can be customized in one way or another. You just need to go through all the options.
