That is an independent processing service that does not work with any shopping cart solution. You actually need to have the card present to perform the transaction.

Scott, I don't know about the date in which you posted this, but you can now open the Invoices Tab online at https://squareup.com/dashboard/sales/invoices, and direct invoice a person which may be able to work with Web Form Builder Payments,. Check it out. This form of payment invoices would be great, and would be easier than Paypal for me.

As far as I can tell, Square provides payment processing in a few ways:
-- through their card scanner
-- by sending online invoices
-- through their online store that a person can integrate into their web site

PayPal is different. PayPal offers payment processing by:
-- sending invoices online
-- through their online store that a person can integrate into their web site
-- through their API that allows 3rd party developers to tie PayPal processing into 3rd party shopping carts.

Coffeecup's Shopping Cart falls into PayPal's 3rd category. As far as I can tell, Square does not provide an API for 3rd party shopping carts.

Let's look at this a different way, though. If you are looking to process payments on the go, use Web Form Builder to create a form to take the payments. When you need to process a card, pull up the form in your tablet or phone. You can simply type the payment amount into the form, click purchase and process through PayPal. The only downside is that you cannot swipe the card. You would have to type it in.

Did you know that Web Form Builder can be used for both simple and complicated forms and that it's not limited to the default fonts and buttons? Take a look at a form we developed for WindowTinting.com.

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.
If you use Square to sell items online, you can add a menu to your website so customers can order and check out right from your site or blog.
To do so:
1. Create your Square online store.
2. Make sure your item library is up-to-date.
3. Visit the Promote tab from your Square Dashboard.
4. Customize your menu layout, including item arrangement and image size.
5. Copy and paste the embed code into your website’s editing tool or click Email Instructions to send this info to your web-administrator.
Learn more about adding your menu and checkout cart to your own website or blog.
Let me know if I can answer anything else for you.
