A sneak peak into Shopping Cart...

I would like to know when as I giving strong consideration to eliminating my Internet stores that charge either store fees and/or final value fees. While my CC cart is well stocked, it should be more user friendly as I expect the Pro version to be. BTW, how many levels can we go down with sub-categories?

Thanks, great job

Right now, only one sub-category can be added.

[quote=Scott Swedorski]With Thanksgiving just one day away (sorry Canada, but Thanksgiving is in November not October ;) ) I thought it would be a good time to give you a sneak peak at the upcoming release of Shopping Cart Creator Pro. Once you find out about all the cool new features we added — more than 20 as of last count — you’ll definitely be feeling thankful. For now, I’m just going to talk about three of the new improvements, just to pique your interest.

HI Scott
Any sneak peak teasers for offline payments!!!

Looks good Scott.

Any change to the tax collection method? I for one would like to be able to make whatever region I want as the default tax, instead of International. Any chance on that. Please...:D

Never mind. I see that what I am requesting is already an option in the shopping cart. I just had to click around and play with it. ;)

The Pro version is going to be sweet.

Some of us have waited years for someone to develop a straight to payment processor cart that has enough features to deploy it in a serious business environment. A maximum wait of another month or so, is small compared to the benefits that the new feature set will offer. :)

The product is at the beginning of its product life cycle, so features and refinements will be part of an evolutionary process that will all take time to implement. You'll soon have a powerful combination with Pro cart creator teamed up with the cart designer. The Coffeecup team have done extremely well, to get so much done in a relatively short timescale, since the release of the designer program. We all just need to leave them in peace for a little while longer, to get the job finished off.

Awesome.... can't wait for some of the new features.
Need to be able to have drop down boxes for color choices of my products.
Hopefully that's there. The lack of that versus my old cart is giving me troubles.
I've put the drop downs in my cart...but cannot associate them.

Hey Scott,

If I customize a cart in the pro version for a client, can they use the basic version to add, elete, and update items for sale?

No, they would need the pro version of the software.

I can see where having it backwards compatible might be handy, but I can see also where this would become quite a mess having to keep track of what feature is in which version for your website building customers to be able to use it. Would definitely be a lot easier to just give them a coupon code and let them get the Pro version instead :)
