Got Designer Pro and want to change the color of some images included in a theme. Where are these images stored?

Hiya Ray or Ann,

You should be able to find those in:

My Documents/CoffeCup Software/Shopping Cart/Themes
or
My Documents/CoffeCup Software/Shopping Cart/Images

Depending on which ones you want to edit.

Be sure to make a backup of the original so you don't lose the original image. Hope that helps :)

I've found many of the inages, but can't find thing like addtocart_reg.png, delete_reg.png and updatecart_reg.png. It's part of the MUG theme and I need to change the colors by replacing the image.

Do you have your shop uploaded? If so give a link please. If not let us know what the MUG theme is, is it a default theme? Purchased theme? Also what size theme is it?

Ok I had totally not been thinking on this clearly when I answered as the files are not actually "located" anywhere on your computer that you can easily locate them. The Theme files are within the themes folder in the directory:
C:\Users\yourusernamehere\Documents\CoffeeCup Software\Shopping Cart\Themes\Pro Themes - 1024px
That's for Windows 8 so you may need to navigate a little bit to get to the same area.

In there are the .sct files and those are the theme files. Copy the Mug.sct file to another location and then rename the extension to .zip and you an now get into the zip file and find all the files that are associated with that them. Export it or whatever you want to do with it and find the images you want to edit.

If you replace these manually you may need to replace them each time you upload your store as I don't know if it overwrites them or not when you update the store. I'll see if I can find out if and how you can possibly create it as your own theme. Then you wouldn't need to worry about overwriting at all. Since these images are not actually part of the things you can change within the program it will need to be something done outside of it. I'll let ya know what I find out soon as I know.

Hiya Ray or Ann,

I've asked Scott on this and here's his reply. Hope this helps and happy editing!

Scott Says:
You sure can. You can actually do that with any of our themes that are just a renamed zip file. Just be careful not to mess with the structure. I actually find Windows Compressed Folders easier to work with for this.

Not only images you can tweak, but the JavaScripts, PHP or basically anything in that file.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
