I have created a shopping cart published as a catalog using a theme created in Designer Pro. I have the same theme used for another cart published as a cart. The search box is not showing up in the catalog, but it is showing up in the other cart.
Is it really possible that the search box does not work in a catalog? Or am I doing something wrong?

If you publish as a catalog using HTML, then the search box will not appear. If you publish as a catalog using PHP, then the search box will appear.

I just opened both of your sites and the search box is on both sites. Are you saying that the box is there in the catalog but is useless? Can it not be "turned off" in SCDP so that a customer does not get frustrated trying to use it?

I searched on both sites for dried cranberries and the search returned items.
