product image separation (?) in...

I've been trying out the various themes (in Designer Pro) and have come to like the "Blank - Navigation on Top - Float".

The problem is that the image and text for the product images do not seem to be adjustable, and the text appears way too close to the image. Well, if I use only images in portrait orientation, it's fine, but not if they're in landscape.

This is the only theme I've seen this happen in, and can't find any adjustment for it.

It's very difficult to explain just which images this happens in - if you take a look at http://obglass.com you can see what I mean.

Now, I can find a "category image separation" in the "Category Detail Properties", but, from what I can tell, I need to find such an adjustment in "Product Properties", and there doesn't seem to be any.

Robert, Click on the item you want to adjust then go to the advance tab in SCDP and adjust the margin and padding on the right hand panel.:).
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Thanks for the idea, Eric - but what happens when I do that is that the entire photo/description combination widens (stretches out?), but with no change in the space BETWEEN the photo and the description.

That space is so tight that some of the letters almost merge with the photo!

I checked it out and the margin & padding adjustment has no effect on the space. I would open a support ticket as that should make the proper adjustment when increased. Post back when you get an answer.:)

That specific theme was designed for use with our SWAG shop, so this maybe just a side effect for the way we set it up. I am checking into this now and it is something we can fix, I will see if we can address it in a future update of Designer.

I just posted an update to Designer Basic and Pro. Can you see if that helps any with this please?

It took me a minute to figure out which "padding" adjustment does it, but - sure enough - it works!

I have to say that this is an awfully impressive response - both in effectiveness and promptness. Makes me glad I invested in this software package!

Well, it looks like there might've been an unintended consequence of the fix. The theme shows the item description to the right of the photo, but it actually appears there only if the description is limited to 3-4 words. If the description is any longer, the entire product description ends up UNDER the photo.

Hi All,
I have just downloaded latest version of Designer Pro 3.9.
It seems I have the same problem. the prices are now on the right, with 2 x columns
instead if 3? To get the 3 columns I have to make the thumbnails tiny?
How do you revert to old system 3 x columns all text underneath?

Cheers,
Baz.
