I updated to the latest version of creator pro and when I tried to update designer pro it says I have to update creator first. Any Ideas?

You probably also have SCC Basic installed as well David. You need to install both versions of Shopping Cart Creator and that alert will go away.

Scott, Should I uninstall the basic version?

If you have no need for it anymore, sure. The installer will always uninstall the previous version for you.

After disabling my shops' checkout for a month of traveling and doing markets I tried to enable them after updating both SCC-Pro and SCD-Pro. I had the same problem. After reading this thread I updated SCC-Basic and now all is OK. Don't understand it but I guess the interconnectedness of the programs. It works so I'm happy, pays to search the threads.
Thanks

I'm having the same problem with installing Designer Pro 3.9.463. I have installed the newest version of Creator Pro and uninstalled all the prior versions. I ran Crap Cleaner, I rebooted. It says that I can't install Designer Pro 3.9 until I install Creator Pro 3.9. I have. I had to make an update in our shopping cart today and my theme for that site is not updated and therefore, unusable. I used an off-the-rack theme temporarily.

I would try another install and if it doesn't work open a support ticket.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

I bet I've installed and uninstalled both programs no less than 6 times today. Very frustrated and trying to work off of a makeshift computer setup as my video card or motherboard died last week. Now that I know the prognosis, I'm buying a new computer but until then I have to make do. I just want my old computer with everything setup again. :-(

I'll put in a support request right now as I've really exhausted everything I know to do.
