Error when opening CC Shopping Cart...

I have been using CC Shopping Cart Designer without issues using Parallels Desktop for MAC. I recently upgraded to a new iMac and loaded the newest version of Parallels (version 6) and loaded Windows 7 Ultimate. When I reloaded the current version of CC designer I get a error "Default Gallery dir cannot be set: \psf\Home\Documents\CoffeeCup Software\Shopping Cart\Themes\."
When I click on details it states:
Base dir for templates browser must be absolute ("\psf\Home\Documents\CoffeeCup Software\Shopping Cart\Themes\')

I have uninstalled and reinstalled and I have, also, regedit and removed all references to CC shopping Cart and reinstalled. I even attempted multiple settings with Parallels to fix the issue. I have web form builder, Web Calendar, Web Video, Pix Converter, Shopping Cart Creator, Website access all loaded on my MAC/Virual PC and they run without issues (other then the Cart Creator says it can not open my themes).

Please help me fix this issue. I am really needing to update a cart I created a while back, and can not open it due to the design is no longer valid.

Thanks

The problem here is you installed the software actually on the OSX partition and not inside of Windows (that is what the psf path means). You need to go into the Parallels configuration and make it so you do not share any files and folders between the two and isolate Windows. Then you need to uninstall and re-install the software.

Thank you... Once I install the software, can I re-share the files and folders?

Thanks again for the fast response!

You can still manually share a folder under the "Shared Folders". The key is turning off the "Shared Applications" and don't share all disks.

Dear Scott, and Scott, smile

Okay, so I'm having the same problem and want to get this straight.
So I go into Parrallels configure and choose NONE under share folders and disks
and uncheck the share windows folders with mac and uncheck share mac folders
with windows.

Then I unintall and reinstall CCSCDP

Then I can go back and reverse all the above and it will be fine?

Any idea why this happens. Like Scoot Bailey, I have numerous CC programs installed in Windows on the Mac and non of them have had this problem. All run smoothly and are a pleasure to use.

How is it that SCDP, somehow reaches out past Windows to the mac side to try to install. ??
Scratching my head on that one.

I'm waiting for a reply to my post before I do any of this. I think I have the proceedure right in my head, but want some hand holding before I launch out and do this.

thanks

I am not sure how it will work if you switch it back. Those settings I have always left enabled as long as I have used Parallels or VMWare. I never want either to touch one another in any way. You can try it, but I cannot guarantee what the outcome will be like. ;)

Hum . . . that's a scary statement. chuckle.
Well it sounds like shopping cart designer is not going to work, unless I do this . . . right?
Seems like you should be able to turn these options off and on without mishap.

So are you saying you enable folder and disk sharing, or you enable not sharing?
Sounds like you are saying you don't allow them to communicate at all, ever . . . right?

I'd have to think about that.

I'm not sure how to proceed.

Thanks

I have those enabled but I install the software into the Windows partition and not OSX. That is the problem. Shopping Cart Creator looks to the Documents folder for the themes and that is in the Windows side. The problem is the themes got installed into the OS X side and it wont work.

Basically yes, you have to do it that way if you want it to work. ;)

Okay, so . . . I did some googling to see I could find any info on anyone having a problem with enabling/disabing and re-enabling folder and disk sharing and couldn't find anyone talking about it . . . so, I'm optimistically thinking that I can do this and it is not going to make parallels go crazy and freeze all my folders or some other scary thing. Seems like, if it is a problem to do that . . . if others have had problems, that there would be people talking about it. No?

I did go to Finder and Coffee Cup and Shopping Cart and Themes and my themes are there as .sct files.

Can I not manually move them to the windows folder by the same name, where upon designer would find them?

I'm wishing I had better computer skills right now.
Thanks Scott
Donna
