Web Address Name Character Limit &...

On the S-Drive page in the area for applying for a name there's a limit on how many characters you can enter. For the time being I'm keeping my www.thelittlecashbookcompany.com and additionally setting up an S-Drive account specifically for the rubber stamp store side of things with links back & forth. I get as far as thelittlecashbookcom before hitting the character limit. In the meantime (while typing this) I did find the Domain Name page which didn't have the limit but also didn't have the .coffeecup.com extension offering.

For search engine purposes though would I be better off going with something like rubberstamps.coffeecup.com? I know it's probably an obvious thing but do search engines like website names like that?

Cheers guys.

If you are going to use your own custom domain name, the *.coffeecup.com address really can be 123.coffeecup.com if you like. No one will see this address at all. Think of it more like your temporary address. We simply put a character limit on the *.coffeecup.com side but for a custom domain, you can use as many characters as you like.

For the time being I'm leaving my current one as it is & move the registration over to you when it comes up for renewal in December/Jan.

Any benefit search wise in a domain name or is it more dependant on what's on your pages?

Instructions said to allow up to 48 hours but i got my "domain is ready" notification in less than 10 minutes.

That will give me something to do over the weekend.
