Stationary header like in the Nova...

Hi all. Finally bit the bullet and now have RLM! (got Menu Maker and new HTML editor while I was at it) Very excited. I've only just barely started playing with it, but have to say that it is a brilliant piece of software. The more I learn about it, the more 'Aha' moments I have, and the more I see what a great tool it is. Taking awhile to learn what all does what, but I pick up more each time I use it.

One of the themes I've been playing with is the Nova theme (to see how things work). When in a full size browser window, the header (with the navigation) is stationary and stays visible when scrolling the pages. What I can't figure out is how that feature is turned on/off. Where in RLM do you activate that ability? I searched the forum, but didn't find the answer.

Thanks!

That is done with the Bootstrap Class "navbar-fixed-top". Just remove that class and it will no longer be fixed.

Thanks Scott! Much appreciated. I found it difficult to click in the right place to get that 'Class' to show up. In the normal view with the slide just against the right hand tool bar, I couldn't get it to show. When I put the slide to the left (second to the last dot), I finally got it to show up.

Maybe a dumb question, but if I started a RLM project from scratch and wanted a fixed top like that, would I have to start with the Bootstrap 2 grid and then likewise use the Class "navbar-fixed-top"? Is that a standard Class in Bootstrap 2?

I really would like the "fixed top" nav for my website rebuild ( I'll be working on with RLM), but don't necessarily want to be tied to the Nova theme per se. Just trying to be sure I understand how this works, what my options are, and the best way to go on that.

Thanks!

You can apply the class navbar-fixed-top to any Bootstrap based layout if you want a fixed navigation.

You are not limited to bootstrap base framework' . We can apply navbar fix to any HTML document after exported from rlm and edited with HTML editor.

I see in coffeegrinder framework has multi class ability but wonder why we can not do it in rlm Scott.

And not well documented in any references out in coffee cup website. Maybe those are reserved for RWD.

I have a feeling that RWD also going to use coffeegrinder framework if I guess right

That is because it has not been added yet. We cannot do it all on the first release. ;)

Cool and coffeegrinder grinds better coffee than RLM:)

In.most case I use coffee grinder build in classes within HTML editor and rocks but limited in animation I found one spin animation for icon fonts only. Never mind rim I hope your coffee grinder also gets updated as well in future soon.

Thanks Scott! Thanks Mansour! Between the two of you, I got both sides of my question answered. :)

Yeah, just want to make sure that when all is said and done, that I am doing it right and that it will be responsive. So this is very helpful!

Thanks again guys!
