Splash screen doesn't disappear when...

This is a bug I keep forgetting to bring up again. Way way back when the software was still in testing this was reported and it's still an issue (was in Windows before and is in Mac now).

If I open a file via the file menu in the program all is fine, but... if I try double clicking the .rlmp file itself to have it open the file and the program the splash screen doesn't ever go away it stays on the screen no matter what I try.

I know this was reported a very long time ago by myself and a handful of others as well, but not sure why it's still doing this and I keep forgetting to mention it so.... I'm mentioning it now :P

I have never been able to replicate this issue (using Windows or OS X). If using File Menu > Open works, I say stick with that. :)

One thing you can try is disconnect the second monitor and see if that helps.

TY Mansour, I knew I wasn't the only one with the issue way back during beginning beta already.

Scott, I may find that it makes that issue disappear (not going to bother trying), but I can guarantee you it wouldn't "Help" as it would hurt way more than it would ever help. I surely shouldn't be expected to turn my monitor off every time I want to use your programs, and it would defeat the purpose completely of having dual monitors setup to expand my work space which I use completely and efficiently with everything else I use other than your software. (Which by the way, my monitors are in the direction that isn't buggy for your software now so don't believe that's the issue anyways) What's that say? Says to me something is wrong with your software that you are unable to detect. Why that is I dunno, but it's the facts since I know I'm not alone in the issues I've reported recently.

Anyways, I don't know why you can't replicate it, it's obviously not something that happens for everyone, but it happens for us which says it's not isolated to just me or one person. It's not something that actually affects how I can work with the program, hence why it wasn't a major thing to report it again, but it's definitely irritating if I do the typical "click the file to open it in it's appropriate software" thing and forget that yours doesn't work right for that and have to close the program and reopen it and navigate to the file or open a Recent File if it's on the list (which isn't always the case).

I think you just like to argue Jo. ;)

The reason I asked for you to disconnect the second monitor was to see if that was the cause of the problem. It could be the app is getting set on one monitor and the about screen is getting set on the other. KNOWING if that was the case would have helped narrow things down. If you are not gonna try, I guess then we will never really know. ;)

has nothing to do with wanting to argue lol. Just finding the time to bother doing all this to find out exactly what I found out when I tried it. That's not the problem.

Though it wasn't with CC software, that happened to me at, of all places, my parents' 50th anniversary party. We were using Irfanview to display a slideshow of pictures, some going back 5 generations. We were using a very old projector connected to my Win7 laptop and had to do some funky display settings on the laptop to make it work with the projector. Every time the screensaver came on, when we went back to the presentation, it was gone! We finally figured out that the slideshow wasn't actually gone. The projector started showing the "other" display whenever the screensaver came on.
