Thanks for the quick response Steve. I think a bit mechanically and was probably looking for too much logic. I'm getting that its fluid, I need to think more fluid and natural, its good to be reassured I'm hopefully heading the right way now. Many thanks.

Yep, accepted. I've checked on a few screens and devices and it all just kinda works like you say. I can't figure out how but its probably done with magic and witchcraft. Stuff like that.
It does seem pretty good. Hope I can soon figure how to use it well.

This line of code in your html file makes it "just work"
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0">
That line of code causes your ipad mini to display as 1024x768 or whatever the physical size of the screen is
Thanks Mark, tho I already got there...

Nice to know all those smartphone screens are just either 320 or 360px. Makes life easier!
Seems the following URL reports your viewport, I tried it with a couple of phones and Tablets...
http://www.whatismyscreenresolution.com/
While this next one tells the actual truth...

I'm finding the viewport thinger seems used for phones and Tablets. While PC's and Laptops simply are what they are. This interests me but I should have been normal and gone to bed instead (4:15am here). Night.
