My RED 2.0 installer failed as it seems to be looking for an older version of the C++ redistr. than I have installed for VS 2015. I'm unable to add it since it won't install over a newer version. ANy suggestion would be appreciated.

Thx

Sorry you had that issue. What you need to do is manually install these, then reboot and you should be able to install the program again.

Step 1:
Using Internet Explorer, go to this URL and run the Fix-It too.
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/mat … _uninstall

Step 2: Re-install RED Mailer

If this fixes the issue, great! If not, then we need to manually re-install the libraries.

Step 1:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa … x?id=53587

Step 2:
Re-install RED Mailer.

I installed V2 this morning in anticipation of the webinar. While I was one of many who had no audio during the webinar, I decided I'd wait for the replay.

I had watched the installation process to make sure it wasn't going to overwrite either my RED Personal or RED Business directories. Since it was creating a directory that wasn't either of those names, I continued. After the installation, I looked back at my CoffeeCup Software directory and BOTH previous versions were gone. Yes, I can uninstall it and reinstall my previous versions, BUT, in my opinion, that's pretty rude behavior for a beta program.

Is that what it's intended to do?

I would not say it is Rude. ;)

That is pretty common behavior for most Windows applications. Having multiple versions can cause all sorts of problems. This prevents you from creating a project in version 2.0 and then accidentally trying to make modifications in 1.3.

Hi Scott,

Sorry if I came across as butt-hurt. Didn't mean to. Just surprised.

I agree it's common for Windows programs. However, V2 wasn't intended (I don't think) as an upgrade. It is still beta, is it not? In my opinion, I should be able to install a beta program to test side-by-side with my existing programs, for comparison.

Honestly, with the little bit I've experimented today, I like V2.

Considering the behavior I saw, it makes it look like V2 is going to be the only version, rather than having a Personal and a Business version. Or have I just stepped off into my own version of paranoia (intensified by my lack of Coffee this morning)? (Again, that's probably just me being a little snarky.) ;)

Don't worry, we can handle snarky people. ;)

That is correct. There are no more Personal or Business versions. Just Responsive Email Designer.

Thanks, Scott! I feel better now!

Ok, now the $64 question. Can V2 import/read previous version .red files?

hello, I am unable to send an email from the responsive email templates that I am using. I go to settings and enter all of the required info which I believe is correct. Thank you for any assistance!
