Using MailChimp, the pre-header text is not appearing as a pre-header/preview but appearing in the body of the email. It works OK when sent as test via RED.

what do I need to do to fix?

Looking at your account, I see you are not using the latest version of RED. We ran a few tests here and the pre-header text showed fine when using MailChimp, so the issue may fix itself when you install the latest version.

I'm running 1.2 Build 973. Is there a newer version? If so, can't see it in my account...

If you could attach a few screenshots of what you see and attach your RED project file, that would be helpful.

It was difficult to see what you were trying to describe with that screenshots as I cannot tell which is which. Looking at your project file though, you only used the text "text" for your pre-header. Try using something more descriptive for the pre-header (up to 180 characters) and it should work fine. Don't use something so small.

This first line is my preheader. See from RED file screenshot. Unless I've done it wrong, but just used the one from original default file..

That is not your pre-header text. That is a screenshot showing you set a CLASS name Preheader. You need to go into your campaign settings and remove the pre-header text "test" and replace that with 180 characters.
