I'm not going to argue that point. I'm just saying it would be easy to find for those who want to know, and there have been many posts from people asking that very thing. This is not a cranky complaint, it's a suggestion that makes sense. :)

I'm with you on this one Tom. I would like to see a link next to the download that takes you to a list of whats new/updated in the version.
Just seems the most logical and obvious place to keep the download and documemtation together.

I would have to concur on this one too, a link to the change logs would be great. Many programs I use have that built into the programs in the Menu, and many others have it as a link on their website. Most of those of course only have 1 program or a handful so I too think a link next to the Download button would be awesome (next to it, under it or wherever you can find a place that stands out easily).

Although I agree it's easy to go to the blogs, there's one major issue with blogs. If the company or person blogs a lot, or uses the same blog for multiple things (as in CC using it for "all" program updates and news), it can sometimes be very tedious to have to search through blogs to find change logs. Just a thought on it.

I also don't get on Facebook hardly at all, maybe a couple times a month unless someone sends me a message or calls me to say "hey did you see..." and Twitter... well that's just useless to me to try to even consider trying to find a particular message about something lol.

Just my opinions of course :)

Jumping through hoops implies that it is difficult to find this information. We post this in our Blog, Forum Announcements, Facebook and Twitter. You can also subscribe to our Blog so that you get an automatic e-mail on all posts. Cannot get any easier than that Tom.

Easy as 1-2-3. ;)

I really don't see the problem with checking the Blog or getting Facebook notifications for that matter. Makes no difference if you're clicking a link to a blog or clicking a link to the information.
Maybe Scott could spoon feed the information to each user via individualized e-mails, that would be cool eh? Or maybe Scott could call each one of us in person to give us the details then we wouldn't have the inconvenience of clicking those pesky links.
You guys spends hours in these forums but its suddenly too inconvenient to click a link or check a blog for the information you want?

Jefff, that was not what I would call a nice reply. Most of the 'You guys' in this thread happen to be forum regulars, OK, and it's not a problem for us to find the information we want. But think of all the people who are your customers and seldom, or just occasionally visit the forums. It might be a tad more complicated for them to find all the places outside this website where information is given out. And not everyone who buy your software subscribe to Twitter or Facebook.

IMO, the CC website is the natural and logical place for information regarding the CC software. And CC has always been priding itself for making it easy for the users, hasn't it?

I find it's a very reasonable request to have a link to the update log at hand (read: right next to the Download button).
Ha en riktig god dag!

Thanks!

If I should add my two cents to the discussion:
- I shouldn't have to ask on the forum for this. I should easily find it, either as suggested, a link under the download-button, or under the help-tab in the menu.

and second:
Where is the "Automatic subscribe to threads I've started/posted in"? :)

Click on "Subscribe" in the thread menu close to the top of the page.

Sorry if I misunderstood your question...:
Where is the "Automatic subscribe to threads I've started/posted in"?

So what did you ask about...??

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
