Uploading pdf Files
Using CCHTML build 305, Win XP, www.medset.ca
I changed several pdf folders and uploaded them to the above site and all worked OK except one, PowerMate.
For some reason the old pdf keeps popping up. I deleted the old file (same file name) from my web site, uploaded but still the old file appears.
Could the old file be buried somewhere that is still being referenced?
Probably missing something very obvious.
Any suggestions appreciated.
CCHTML is a great program. Developed my site without any previous knowledge and it works.

Try deleting the file off the server first and then upload yor new power mate. See if that clears the problem

Tried deleting from the server first then uploaded and for some reason the old file comes back.

Have you tried clearing your cache? Sometimes that helps as sometimes our computers don't want us to be able to see the new stuff as it really is. Refreshing the page first is what you should start with, and if that don't work, try clearing your browser cache and see if that works. I'm not sure what page(s) should be showing and I didn't see any PDF files on the site you linked for it so I'm not sure how to test this for you to see if we're seeing the same page or not.
Be sure that the file you are uploading is actually the new file. Open it on your computer and see if it is what you expect.
It may be possible that the new file is saved in another location and your old file is getting uploaded.

Have you run a file search on your C drive to check for multiple copies of the same file pdf file.
When you upload the pdf file to your server does your upload program produce an update log showing which files are being upoaded

Thanks Jo Ann, Dave & Bill for your responses
Followed all of your suggestions but did not find anything unusual or duplicates. Repeated the delete/upload process today and it works. Did not really do anything.
Thanks again
Gerard

Who knows lol, sometimes even if your Host maybe does a reboot or refreshes on their end in some way it helps to make things work better, and sometimes as I've found my own computer causes me glitches that a reboot fixes for me too lol. Go figure, long as it's working that's what counts and glad to hear it

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
