Hiya Peter,

They did attempt to give us the custom toolbars that could be remembered from update to update... but.....

The custom toolbars are actually what were breaking these new updates so they put it back to the "non" remembering of the custom toolbars to stop all that mess.... but...

What I have been doing is saving the 2 toolbar files in the Settings folder of your HTML Editor folder in the C:\Users\youruseraccount\AppData\Roaming
folder.

What I do is copy both those files and the projects.ini file before any updates. So far I haven't had to put the projects one back in after my last fully clean install last week as I had a lot of issues with one of the builds. Anyways, just put those files back in that location above after you have reinstalled it and you'll be all set to go and your toolbars will be back where they were :)

*Disclaimer* Do keep in mind that CC could at any time alter how our toolbars work, change the toolbar icons, change the toolbar icon functions, etc. etc. which could in essence mess up our toolbars that we've saved. In this event we'll most likely have to reinstall and so on so expect that that could happen at any time, but for now I'm saving mine :)

With my custom toolbar I have saved it as a zip file in the same location as Jo Ann mentions. The zip file doesn't get removed during a new install, so after I have got a new build, I go to that location and extract the toolbar from the zip file. Afterwards I have to select it in the Editor under Tools.

I think Windows is just alerting you there because that .exe file is not digitally signed. That will go away when it is added to the installer. So then all is good then with this exe?

Yep, all well now ;)

Thankyou both for that info :)

I shall have a delve in there and do something.

But.... I will create a batch file thats pulls out the file and copies it
somewhere, and another to reload it after an install...

I know this programming and updates is techy stuff, but would think
that CoffeeCup could do something similar during the uninstall/install process.

Custom user setup's are offered in the CoffeeCup menus, and it would be nice if
they could be preserved.

Maybe :|
