The HTML Editor: Website Files

While working with my local files to update the website, I tried to switch to the website files. The program did not go to the website even though I clicked to have access those files. Is there a way to download a web file? The upload command also continues after switching to the web files.

Did you enter the correct ftp settings?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
