Tables in HTML Editor #2

I am having a hard time with a table. I inserted a table and it looks good in the visual editor and the preview. However, it is centered in Chrome but not in IE and Firefox.

What am I doing wrong?

We wouldn't know what you're doing wrong without a peek into the source code. Please let us have an URL.

You mention 'visual editor', I'm guessing you mean the tab within HTML Editor program... If you are switching between it and "Code Editor" mode, you are asking for trouble. But also, as Inger says, a link to the code (or attaching it here) would be helpful.

When autocomplete is used to insert a row or data element for a table, <tr></tr>, for example , the cursor (|) ends up, at least on my XP system, here: <tr|></tr>, and it seems to me that it would make more sense for it to automatically end up looking like this: <tr>|</tr> ...

happens all the time for me.

wazzup?

thanks!

ps... LOVE the CC HTML editor!

Hi Alan,
I tested it on my Win 7 64 bit and the cursor lands in the middle ready for more entry. Maybe a few others will try it to verify the same results as you.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

I checked mine as well (then realized that I had an old install, updated and tried again ). Also WIN 7 64-bit, BUT I saw just what Alan described. Autocomplete puts the cursor <tr|></tr> and I would have expected it to be between the > and the <...

oh haha I did, but didn't even see you ask for that Phil LOL just saw the old thread revived in Sept (must have missed it back then) that used to be 2006... things are so much different now than then that I didn't figure this thread needed to be extended from it.

As for the cursor, I've noticed that happens in a lot of different tags, not just the table tags.

Is that your new phrase for the week Tom? LOL sorry couldn't resist as I've seen you post that somewhere else this weekend.

Yep my work around does pretty well actually. I click the mouse in the spot the cursor should have started in automatically, and *POOF* it's now where it should be! Works pretty well, but...

Still an issue for anyone that codes faster than I do lol.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
