Even with the "utf-8" charset, I still can't type devanagari or other Indic scripts. Even pasting in a line, like this one,
????? ???? ???? ????, ????? ??????? ??????
just brings up a series of question marks. Opening a plain .html file creted in a different editor that has full unicode shows "तारीफ़ करूठकà¥à¤¯à¤¾ उसकी, जिसने तà¥à¤®à¥à¤¹à¥‡à¤‚ बनाया?" for the above string. Since I use an IME to enter devanagari, I need to be able to see that what I type is what I get. It is disappointing to see that I am STILL unable to return to CoffeeCup because of this persistent inability to handle Unicode properly.
Still can't use devanagari
I have just downloaded the latest update for the HTML editor and am VERY disappointed that, nearly two years on, this simple issue has not been addressed. I recently moved from an old XP box to a new Win 7 Pro 64, and hoped to be able to leave Kompozer behind for CoffeeCup's HTML Editor, but until it stops rendering simple Unicode devanagri as above, I can't use this sfotware as I'd like to. Are there ANY plans to add this functionality to the Editor?
To be honest, I don't see that functionality making it into the software as it just was not designed for those types of characters sets.
I am sorry.

Honest, but disappointing. Thanks for the reply, anyway.
