For those using WAMP, XAMP, UniServe or similar.
Anyway to configure the F12 and F11 toggles to load the file from localhost and not (for example)
file:///C:/WAMP/www/mysite/index.html?
Not super important but would be nice to be able to do so in addition to having full browser/s also loaded on different screens.
2nd question: On split screen -- anyway to get them side by side instead of top and bottom. I know I can accomplish this with the F11 function, but just asking?
Thanks,
Tom
Split Screen (F12) and External...
To your 2nd question: You can toggle the external preview to appear side by side, but not the split screen.
I once tried to save php files to the www folder in WAMP, but previews were pulled from the same www folder, not from localost.

@ Inger,
Yep, gotta have a full normal browser running localhost to see those types of updates.
Since the previewer in the Editor are (I believe) some version of Internet Explorer, if one could configure somehow to load via localhost and not via the folder directly, would be very handy.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
