At my desktop I use two screens external to the laptop. I had the editor closed when I placed my computer in hibernate.

When I later woke my laptop without the external screens I could not access the editor. It was not until I returned home and plugged it into the docking station and realized it was trying to open in the second screen did I understand the problem.

Most other programs I use figure out the second screen is not there and open in the primary screen. I would like the editor to do the same.

Sounds to me as if you are reporting a fairly technical issue here. Someone might have a suggestion, but otherwise it might be an idea to take this in for a support ticket or add as a suggestion to the HTML suggestion thread here:
