Particular font not consistent across...

G'day, if you go to my website, www.whiparound.com.au you will see that the word "whiparound" is a different font to the rest. It is supposed to be seen in JI-Bronzy font. I know that if a PC doesn't have this font installed (like my work PC) then it may not be able to be seen, BUT, if you go to the "calender" page, the font IS actually working. I don't know why it works on that page and not others. Can anyone tell me how to get the font displaying correctly across my whole website please?

What browser are you using?

Are you referring to the graphic in the top left corner?

I viewed using Firefox 2.0.0.16, and it looks the same on several pages.

I'm using IE7. Actually, I've editted my first post slighty, changing "merchandise" to "calender" page. No, the graphic you pasted is not the worry, it's the word "whiparound" throughout the site in the text sections. Now, MY pc shows it correctly throughout, but PC's at work that I know don't have the JI-Bronzy font only display it correctly on the "calender" page. Why not everywhere?

I think this has to do with how you made the contents of the pages. Could it be that the whole blue pane with the text on it (in the calendar page) is a graphic? Because I see no such text in the source code, and also no ref. to the 'textstyle4' for the font in question.

A bit later:

Yes, here it is confirmed, it IS a graphic:

I don't understand how this could have happened because I did the same thing on each page. I created the blue areas and then created the text areas over the top, then each "whiparound" word I changed the font to the JI-Bronzy style. Actually, it's odd that you pasted that "graphic" of the "contact us" page link as I noticed that it is in a JI-Briary font which is also a font that may not be common on most pc's, but it seems to work right across the site. Hmmm, so what do you think I need to do about making the word "whiparound" appear correctly aross the site?

Not absolutely sure about this, but my guess is that you must have clicked the 'allow advanced text' option on the page where the word whiparound was in the desired font, and not on the other pages. Checking the 'allow advanced text' automatically turns the text into graphic.

I knew you were going to say that. I checked that and you are correct, BUT I went and changed all the other pages and made sure that I changed them to "allow advanced text" and it didn't seem to make a difference, at work at least. Last night I re-uploaded to correct a link, but I don't know if that has made any difference. Feel free to check it.

Thanks for your input guys.

I can't find any difference from before. Did you save and upload after you had clicked 'allow advanced text'?

If you right-click on the text that has the word whiparound in the desired font, you'll find 'properties' and a click on that tells you that it is a jpg. But right-clicking on some text where the desired font is NOT showing, produces instead of 'properties' the word 'source code'. In other words, it is text, not a pic.

Yep I hit save before I uploaded. I see what you mean about the properties on that "calendar" page's text being an image. How did I make it an image? I didn't even know I did. I can't see in the project how I've done anything different to any other page. Strange. Any ideas? And if I DID happen to change the other pages to being images also, would that mean that any links in the text wouldn't work?

The links would work, the text is still editable after you have turned it into an image. If you have the latest VSD, it shouldn't even matter in which sequence you do things, but to be safe, make the image first and the links afterwards.

I don't know what would be best to get your Bronze font turn up where you want it. If you have made the text bits into images, you could try deleting everything from the server and re-upload.

If that doesn't work, you could - beware! - recreate one of the pages from scratch, turning the text into an image right after you have made the blue background. If that DOES work, then you have your work cut out for you for the rest of the day...

I do wish that someone a bit more VSD savvy would take part here, then I actually don't use the app very much.
