Hi,

I've upgraded from my old PC and wish to transfer my old website project onto a new laptop.

I initially copied across the project folder - but as I suspected Ithe links to the embedded images are reporting as missing (blocked out visually).

Is there any way of transferring the old website project from PC to PC without the addressing problems. Or will I need to FTP the lot back from my host server?

If so how do I go about downloading my site so tha I can edit it for reposting on the web?

You may want to click on profile and change your forum name to something other than your email address, just to limit the amount of spam you receive.

What program are you using to maintain your web site?

If you are using the HTML editor, just FTP all the site files to your computer, and you will have everything you need.

If you are using VSD, you will need to make sure all the files in your NEW computer are in the same relative location on your NEW computer as they were on the old computer. You will also need the .vnu file for the site (either from the old computer or a saved copy on your site).
