Well when IS this going to be fixed? I just downloaded the trial version and have exactly this problem. Don't think I'll be buying the program if this is the sort of support it gets.

Two months and still not fixed?

CC Support has had their handsful with the upcoming launch of the Shopping Cart Creator Pro. My guess is this post probably got lost in the shuffle and you reviving it will refresh their memories if they see it. If they don't it's not that big of an issue Bob, because Support isn't done on these forums as far as major support, it's done through Support Tickets. If you're definitely having an issue with this, I would suggest you open a ticket to get guaranteed Support as the forums are mostly for User to User support. Granted, CC Support is also handled on them here and there too, but it's not guaranteed to be is all I'm saying.

Trust me when I say, CC has top notch support when done through the right channels, and most of us here do our best to help with the rest and usually succeed in doing so when it's not a software issue as this apparently is. Give it a shot in Support Tickets and see if they can't give you some assistance and maybe it will refresh their memories a little more on this issue. Do keep in mind that it's very easy to check a forum thread with all good intentions to do something about an issue and get side tracked and forget. There are hundreds of threads posted here weekly by us all that make it just that much easier to lose something in lol.

I'm sure they will be most happy to help you with a Support Ticket though so give it a go and good luck on it. I've used the CC HTML Editor for many years and can honestly say that it's worth every penny and then some and they WILL address this issue if it's pushed a little harder as they always do well by us :)

There will be an updated version some time in March. There is nothing wrong with the support. If this had been a major fault in the programme, it would have been fixed within a couple of days, but since it is a minor quirk two months is a relatively short time here.

CC has some 30 odd more programmes that they are constantly developing further, so they are not exactly sitting on their hands.

This is not a minor quirk - it prevents my web site from working at all.

The way I understand it... It prevents only some of the templates from functioning properly.

And, as has been suggested already, have you placed a support ticket with CC for your particular problem? Or are you counting on another user to support you? CC is about the best company you will ever come across, for support! There is usually one of several of their staff on-line throughout the entire day, and long into the night. (I've seen Scott answering questions at 2 and 3 in the morning on several occasions). When they are aware of a problem, they take care of it. Many times, it's done right away, sometimes it has to take a back burner. It depends on many factors, and I doubt that we will ever know how they weigh them out. The point is, let's see any other publisher come close to the level and speed of support that CC gives us, especially when you consider the price of the software and the lifetime upgrades!

Until this is addressed - jquery, suckerfish, and thickbox javascripts can all be downloaded from the web freely. Just Google them.

You can give that a try too Bob and see if that solves your problem until they get it fixed. Do have patience, trust us that they are really working on something huge at the moment and I'm sure their plates are more than full and most likely why this was overlooked. Give the suggestion above a try and put in a Ticket as also was suggested and see if that gets it fixed :)

I hope you are all correct about the support, as for expecting somebody else to support me I quote Inger Eik (Senior Adviser) above on 11/28 "I have notified CC about it"

I don't accept that being busy or having a lot of products is an acceptable excuse for not fixing such a basic problem, I've been in software development for over 30 years and it never has been for me (and no, I'm not perfect!) Especially as the HTML editor is the "Flagship Product".

I found the required file and put it in my project. I will write a ticket. I'm disappointed.

We have updated all of the themes to correct this problem, but we can't simply put up a new installer as we are in the process of updating the HTML Editor. We will have this new version up as Inger said later next month. If you open a support ticket, one of our techs will be glad to fix the theme for you.

Scott, thank you for your reply - is there some reason you couldn't make a branch from the last releasable version and put that up as a new download? That would be the normal action for this kind of problem.

I have fixed my problem but I wonder how many less technical people have just given up and moved on to a different application?

Unfortunately no. We are making changes to so many areas of the software that a compile of this version would be too unstable.

I don't think it causes to much of an impact and an e-mail to us through support can fix this issue.
