Hey guys, i'm doing a little bit of framework for the website i'm working on, and I was wondering - Can I insert a .jpg on a.jpg using z-index? I think I can, but i'm still working on the image. I want the website to have a text box where I can post updates, colors black and gold so they blend with the rest of the site. Also some pillars on the side.. all this can be accomplished using z-index right? Like if I was to place the background original image to z-index: -3 or something I can place 3 images on top of that.. I think? I dunno just want to get your opinion on what should be next.. heres the website it's coming along

If it were me, and remember I don't code, I would use a graphics program like GIMP or Photoshop to layer the images, then save them as 1 image and just upload that image to your site. Simple. I think. Maybe ...

I would do as Gunsmoke suggested unless your looking for a different affect.
There's JQuery parallax that you can do some awesome stuff with.

I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Not sure what exactly you're after, but you could place one image as the <div> background, then you can easily have another image or text over it.

My goal is just to create two roman pillars with a black text box area that I can write in.. does anyone have a graphic of a roman pillar in .png format? Google is being mean to me with no returns of a pillar in .png format..
Gunsmoke I will experiment with that idea it sounds a lot more easier than what I was going to do.. thanks man :)
Paintbrush I was going to take the <div> route myself but i'm thinking one image might save the day! :)

Do you have WIS Matt? You can convert them you know. Don't you have Corel or Paintshop?

I own all three lol, but never use them. PS, WIS, Corel, but I cannot find a pillar that I like.. I want something like a roman one.. I guess I could crop it myself but my talent is very limited with images.

Cool, thanks guys i'm going to see what I can put together tomorrow. I think the idea is going in the right direction, I just don't really know my way around PS, WIS, or Corel, even though I change my picture everyday :) I only know how to do one thing.
