HiYa Janys,

I did as you suggested and it seems to work. Thank you. I wonder however if leave the #header img tag as it is and plug in the actual width and height in if that might not work also?

Have a look at http://www.cofchristknoxville.org to see how the image now displays.

NOW if I could only figure out how to make the image drop down 1 or 2 px so the white line at the top of the bar shows! :/

Thanks for your time.

Hey Tom,

Will that make the image set at the bottom of the blue bar..... and letting the white line show??

I just made the background of the image transparent. rename your original file to preserve it and give this one a go to see how it looks.

Did you download the file I attached? What do you mean you don't see it? Only the background is transparent, LOL. :)

Thanks for the help. I did dl your file and now all is well. Have a look.

BTW - what app did you use to make the background transparent?? :cool:

James... certainly - as you so rightly point out - you can change those measurements in the css file to the correct ones.

For this point you can add in a small margin-top...
#header img {width:62px; height:62px; float:left; margin-top:5px}

which adds just to the top or...
#header img {width:62px; height:62px; float:left; margin:5px}

which will add a little breathing space all around the image.

Janys - The bg color of the image didn't match the bg of the header, so making it transparent killed two birds with one stone, rather than simply moving it down a few pixels.

James - I used Paintshop Pro 7. It's a little dated but find certain tasks easier than in Photoshop Elements 8, which I chose over the latest version of PSP.

Tom, the only reason I came back on this was after having taken another look at the web site where I can see that there is no space between the image and that very fine white line. I noticed James had asked for a way to put some space in there...
Of course your edit on the image sorted out the background issue... but not really the space... unless you add some more transparent canvas around the image itself I guess.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
