I just switched to vista on a new laptop and re-downloaded coffee cup. files i had transferred over to the new laptop open in both IE7 and Firefox3 but forms created in form builder only show up as "Form Object".

New pages I create open in IE7, but not in Firefox3. Oddly the created pages don't even show up in windows explorer (although I can open them while I am in html editor)

Any help would be appreciated.

Kevin,

A link to the form may be needed.

Please verify that you have flash installed for Firefox. Generally if one browser works and another does not, the issue is a flash installation needed.

I think I can help with this one, but I might ramble while I try to remember all the steps involved.
You say you switched to Vista. You 'transfered' the files from a different computer/hard drive to your Vista machine, right?
Now they don't show up in Windows Explorer?

Use explorer to navigate to the folder that those files should be in. Look near the top of that window and look for a line that says "Compatibility files" or something like that. The problem is that Vista thinks those files came from something that does not run in Vista, so it put them in a 'hidden compatibility' mode that only Vista seems to know what they are. Click the 'compatibility files' words to show those files. Not done yet.
Copy those files to a folder that already exists on your hard drive. Now see if they show up in that new location when you use Explorer.
Anytime you transfer files to Vista, look for this issue and copy/paste the files to an existing folder and then check if they show up. If you don't do this, you could end up loosing your files. It is stored in a "virtual folder" created by Vista, but Vista won't tell you that.

Now for the FireFox issue. While using FF, go to adobe.com and download the pluggin for flash for FireFox. Once that is installed, it should display your flash forms and other flash content.

Ok- I think I solved this (yeah me!)

Apparently the swfobject.js file was not in the /working directory and subsequently was not allowing the form object in my pages from being previewed.

I copied that file from the /coffeeformbuilder folder to the /working folder and it now works. (apparently it was not a flash issue, but thank you for the suggestions!)

That solves the forms not showing up in previews

Now the question is, is there a setting in vista that will prevent pages I create and save from being put into the virtual folder (the Compatibility issue)

Thank you all for your help with this.

Cheers,
Kevin
