Ive tried an older version and that didn't help either.

I get a Dialog box that reads

The exception unknown exception (0x0eedfade) occurred in the application at location 0x7c812aeb

Then once I hit ok I get a second dialog box that read

My technical knowledge is limited, but the only thing that comes to mind is that something might have been corrupted during the installation process.
My suggestion would be to uninstall....... clean up any odd files left and close down/reboot before reinstalling...... rebooting and checking whether the problem resolves itself.
If all else fails (and nobody comes in with another answer) get directly in touch with the CC help line. Have you looked to see if you have the minimum requirements etc. for installing the program?

Although this thread is years old, the same problem with HTML Editor V-12 is present in 2013. This box has been running HTML Editor on XP-Pro for years. Recently I decided to reformat the XP-Pro drive and limit the entire OS to nothing but that which supports website maintenance.
I did a complete reformat, then reloaded the OS, the (only the required) MoBo drivers, the wireless access, updated and registered XP-Pro, loaded the video drivers and sound system drivers, reloaded the AV Suite, then downloaded all my Coffeecup programs. Every one of them loaded flawlessly and work just fine, ... "Except for"... HTML Editor V-12.8.691 which played liike it loaded, however would not initialize. I tried several different ways to reload but with no success. CoffeeCup Techies had no more of an idea than I did. So presently there is no way to utilize HTML Editor. I tried to load a couple of prior HTML Editor versions with the same amount of no luck.
Strangely enough, "Visual Site Designer" seems to load (the trial version) does load and initialize. So what is deficient with HTML Editor coding?
The
A bit irritating, and even more confusing. No answer or fix seems to be available.
Just my 2c worth.

To clarify my post above...

I've loaded probably 250-300 separate boxes, and this is the first time I've had a problem with one box not loading HTML Editor.
Just my 2c worth.
