Hi - In testing and previewing my code I use Firefox as my default browser. For some bizarre reason FF all of a sudden displays an error that it can not find the file :

file:///C:/Program%20Files/CoffeeCup%20Software/Working/test2.html

Yet if I choose alternate browsers ie Opera or IE7 it finds the file and displays it no problem. Yet the mystery deepens since if you go to the directory mentioned to look for the file it is not displayed by Explorer - it's not there ?? !!

If you copy and the file location out of IE7 into FF - NOPE can't find it !

Any inspirational ideas ??

Many Thanks Vincej

Found the answer !! This all has to do with Vista disliking CC editor and automatically switching into a form of compatibility mode. The answer is to save your files somewhere safe then disinstall CC - reboot and re-install.

Vincej,

VISTA strikes again. I wish Microsoft would get that thing fixed or agree to extend the life of XP. The most problems we have at work are caused by either VISTA or having upgraded to VISTA without having the correct hardware drivers.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
