HOW TO EMBED A PICASA WEB VIDEO

I used the HTML code provided by Picasa by Google and the video player shows up on my web site. When I click the play button in the middle of the video displayed the video jumps to the Picasa website and commences playing the video. Can you suggest a modification to the HTML code that would keep the video playing on my web site rather than jumping to the Picasa site. Take a look at:

Take a look - You might even enjoy a view of the ocean as a bonus.

Not 100% sure here baja, but is it a paid version or is it a free version? Many times free versions embed code that advertises their products or sites etc. If it's a paid version then I'm not sure, but I would check with the company that creates Picasa then and see why it's doing that? That's where I'd start anyways :)

I have used the Picasa web album slide show program to create slide shows on websites
From looking at your source code you have a program running called tools for noobs which if I understand it calls an RSS feed from Picasa. I think that is your problem.

Comment all of that out, then insert the code that picasa gives you to embed a slide show option on the website which is located right side of screen when your slideshow web album is open. You need to select autoplay and the appropriate size and copy the embed code to your page. The result is that your sldie show will play when your page is accessed.....however if someone clicks on the picture itself they are still redirected to picasa. Lastly I have the privacy set to anyone with the link.
Hope this helps...let me know

After Googling the subject I couldn't find a solution. There used to be a work around, but apparently Google changed the code so it no longer works. Your best bet is to host the video elsewhere such as YouTube, Vimeo, etc. and embed the code from there, or else host it on your sites server and play it with CoffeeCup's Web Video Player.

Edit: Or ..... You could just do it like cayucostom posted. :|

Baja
I forgot to mention to get the embed code you need to select "link to this album" on the right side and then click on "embed slide show" to get the portable slide show window which contains the embed code.

I actually tried 2 versions of the Picasa code. The top one is embed slideshow web album code (which displays on the published site). Beneath that I tried the RSS feed code modified with tools4noobs online tool (This failed to display on the published site).

I will be posting several videos on the same page so selecting AutoPlay would not be desirable. I hosted videos & photos on Google's (free) Picasa Web Gallery because I thought I could take advantage of the free cloud space. Apparently this is not a optimal solution as my site's visitors would have to leave my site to view these on Picasa. So next up I will be trying coffeecup's video player.

Thanks everyone for the advice. Now I will get back to work.

:(I took a look at Coffeecup WVP and I was disappointed to find that the size of the player is too small to show HD videos. My next step will be to post videos to YouTube and embed the video in my website.

If you experiment a little with the CC Video Player, I think you'll find that you can make the player pretty much whatever size you want.
Some things to try: While holding down the Ctrl-key, click anywhere in the grey background area. This will enter the editing mode and you can now drag and drop the various controls and also drag the screen borders to the size you want. While in the editing mode, a "New Skin" icon will show up at top-right. Click on that and then just experiment! ;)

It won't allow the screen to be any bigger then the size available to the designer in the selection menu.:)
